This fountain goes for roughly $80 at the time of this review which seems like a lot, and it is, but there aren't many pet fountains out there that look as modern, hold a lot of water, and are as silent as the PDSCDCF.
Yeah, that's right, I'm calling it the PDSCDCF now.
Set up is easy as the instructions walk you through which specific parts to clean with warm water, with soapy water, and which to avoid getting wet all together. Then, you find a nice spot to place it, fill it with water, and turn it on. Easy peasy, ya'll.
The only thing that's not so hot with this fountain is that the center ball that the instructions hilariously refer to as a "tower" doesn't secure to the base. It's held in place with gravity only, so you'll have to be extra careful to not drop the "tower" when relocating the fountain.
All in all, the PDSCDCF is 100% worth the cost if you want to encourage your pets to drink water, but you don't want a weird, plastic, Tonka-toy looking device in your living room. I will say that this fountain is smaller than I thought it'd be, but it is massive enough to hold roughly 80 ounces of water and to keep from my youngest kitten from knocking it over.
Oh, yeah, that's why I wanted this fountain: to keep my dang kitten from playing with the cheap, water-cool style fountains I had dotted around my home. There's other solutions online such as literally anchoring your cheap fountain to the wall, but my cats don't run my home decor soooooo...
Yeah. Electric fountains are the way go, my dudes.
