Assassin's Creed Syndicate (Xbox One)

Has COD syndrome ruined one of the most imaginative video game series of our generation?

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Is Skyrim but with Pocket Monsters

Finally our cries have been heard and will a truly open world, action RPG adventure game early 2022. The announcement trailer dropped earlier this morning and while, graphically speaking, it looks unimpressive, I'm confident they'll deliver a good time. A good, different time. And you know it's gonna be different from the usual games because of the Avatar-ish logo. I mean, think about it, why else would The Pokémon Company and the Dog with Eggs Company , the groups responsible for minimal innovation across a butt-load of Pokémon games, actually attempt to improve on their formula now? Well, you know why, it's because Sword and Shield upset a lot of fans for a lack of innovating. Therefore, this Legends is a concerted effort to meet fans' demands for a truly open world Pokémon RPG, as fans caught on to their half-assing and dumbass lies . That won't fly anymore, especially in our Covid-19, stuck-at-home-angsty-on-the-internet world. So they have to bring their A...

Undertale (PC)

Are you looking to fall in love with quirky, silly characters? Do you long for the feel of classic pixel games from your youth? Isn't this an annoying format of questioning? Then great! I have the perfect video game for you this spooky month! *

Gears of War Aged Like Milk, But That's What Makes it Worth Playing Today

Before I continue, I must lay out my gaming cred. I know, I also cringed while typing that. Still, I must explain I've been playing military first person shooter games for 16 years, starting with the very good Delta Force . Then, naturally, Delta Force 2 came out and so too did Land Warrior, Task Force Dagger , Blackhawk Down (The PC version) along with Joint Operations , and finally Delta Force Xtreme. Delta Force Xtreme is a lot less sexy than it sounds, BTW, and a lot less fun than the other games. These games, along with Battlefield 2, came out before 2005's Call of Duty 2 transformed the genre in terms of multiplayer, although the futuristic military combat game Battlefield 2142 predates Gears of War by a month. I've then played every COD game besides WWII, all the Halo games, and some Team Fortress 2 here and there. Oi, I also putted around America's Army the few times my turd brother would let me use his gaming PC to play. What a dick. That's a whole lot...

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is Fine, Just Fine

I remember way back when in 2017 when America was just rekindling it’s close relationship with hate, my old college friends were mega-hyped for season 5 of Samurai Jack. I never watched it then because I was much too busy getting bullied from my parents for not having a job, and I lost my appetite for cartoons anyway. My life’s course is still off track, but perhaps because I feel more in control this time around, I can actually enjoy cartoons again. So, among many, many cartoons I’ve watched since, hearing the release of Samurai Jack Battle Through Time reminded me I never got around to watching season 5 of the cartoon. So I did, and it was very good. I kinda forgot what this post is about. A review of a video game? Probably. Let’s do that. Battle Through Time is the Type of Game Designed for Games with Gold or Game Pass This game is a canonical side piece to the tv show, taking place during the few seconds we see Jack in the time portal as he returns to the pas...

Top 5 WORST Things You'll Hate About Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

In part two of this review, where we cover the worst things you'll hate about this game, I'll determine your spirit animal.

PS4 Wireless Controller vs Xbox Wireless Controller: A Super Serious Battle-Fight

Welcome to Battle-Fights, where I pit two things that are mostly the same and tell you which one would win in a metaphorical fight. There'll be points scored and a conclusion that won't align with popular opinion for the sake of SEO. Why is there a Nintendo Switch wireless controller in the photo even though it's not a part of this competition? Why am I doing this? Good questions. In the blue corner, we have the DualShock 4 wireless controller, the champion of 1 bazillion PS4 consoles and one bright, dumb light. In the red corner, we have the Xbox One wireless controller sporting the correct control stick layout and plastics only a few grades above a take-out box. LET THE GAMES BEGIN Round 1: Style Arguably the most important factor in buying a new video game console is the controller. If you're interested in any exclusives, don't think "Oh that seems fun to play", you should think "Will the controller match my ninja turtle t-shirt, basketball shorts...

Top 5 Best Things You'll LOVE About Modern Warfare

As is tradition, I present to you, dearest Infini-knights (lol oh lawd), my Call of Duty Modern Warfare review in two parts. In this first part, I cover what I think you'll like most about Modern Warfare, and you can guess what the second part is about . Upfront, I'm pleased to say that Modern Warfare maintains COD's classic, delicious gunplay that is arguably second-to-none in the arena style first-person shooter world. Appreciate the variety of weaponry, attachments, graphical effects, smoothness of movement and you'll understand. If you don't, then a fire-breathing shotgun just might help. Yeah, it's not a perfect, but the way it feels to play makes up for it's faults for most people who enjoy military flavored shootin' games. Alright, let's get into the specifics. 1. Guuuuunsmith I've written about this before but it’s worth repeating how awesome it is. Where previous games would, for example, offer an M4 to customize with different sights,...

Gears of War 2: War is Bad

When I last wrote about Gears of War, I promised more screenshots and video clips. This was a lie. Please understand that I lie only to protect myself, and I really meant to take at least one screenshot but I forgot. But go and read that post before this one, it's a good one . But let's be honest, you're not here for screenshots and clips, are you? While that seems counterintuitive to say on a video game blog, the burden of having to edit my own screenshots and clips gets in the way of me actually writing words. I just don't have that sort of patience, and you need demand my words. So, my video game reviews won't have as many screenshots and videos as before. The upside to this is that I get to spend more energy writing better stuff for you to enjoy. See? Everybody wins when I lie. Now that's over, I'm here to tell you that 2008's Gears of War 2 is the much like the first game with a fey key improvements. I'll say the graphics still have a look to ...

Video Game Review: Just Dance 4 (PS3)

That's one small step for dance, and one giant leap for the obsolescence of going outside.
